# Get your project online.

Give your project an HTTPS link you can share with your team, friends, or community. This guide walks through SSH signup and running your first app.

## Connect with SSH

Open a terminal on your computer. You’ll need an SSH client and an SSH key. On macOS and Linux, the SSH client is usually already installed.

```sh
ssh treliso.dev
```

1. Enter your email address in the welcome flow.
2. Open the verification email from `welcome@mail.treliso.com`. Check that the SSH key fingerprint matches the one shown in your terminal, then approve it.
3. Return to your terminal. Once your VM is ready, the session connects you to its shell and shows its name and HTTPS address.

If the session closes during signup, reconnect with the same SSH key. Verification links expire after 30 minutes; reconnect to request a new one.

### Need an SSH key?

Check for an existing public key in `~/.ssh/`. If you don’t have one, generate a new Ed25519 key. Follow the prompts and keep the private key on your computer.

```sh
ssh-keygen -t ed25519
```

To select a particular existing key when connecting:

```sh
ssh -i ~/.ssh/id_ed25519 treliso.dev
```

## Meet your workspace

Your VM gets an assigned name, such as `cedar-otter`. That example name is used below; replace it with the one shown in your welcome session.

```sh
ssh cedar-otter@treliso.dev
```

Running `ssh treliso.dev` again opens a menu of your permitted, ready VMs. Choose one to connect. Press `r` to refresh, `h` for connection help, or `q` to exit.

## Run your first app

The current guest is a minimal Linux environment on x86-64. Build a compatible executable on your computer or in CI, then upload it with SCP or SFTP. A statically linked executable is the simplest starting point.

**Check your app’s requirements.**

The VM currently has no package manager, outbound dependency downloads, or container runtime. It won’t install Node, Python, npm dependencies, or Docker for you. Bring a compatible executable and any files it needs.

From your own computer, upload the executable:

```sh
scp ./app cedar-otter@treliso.dev:/root/app
```

Connect to the VM, make the file executable, and run it. Configure your application to listen on `127.0.0.1:3000`.

```
chmod +x /root/app
/root/app
```

Leave it running while you try the VM’s HTTPS address in your browser, or from another terminal:

```sh
curl https://cedar-otter.treliso.dev/
```

The HTTPS route forwards to your app on port 3000. The foreground command runs while your shell session is connected. For supervised applications that restart after a crash or VM boot, use managed app controls when guest control is enabled on your deployment.

## Manage your VM

Sign in to the console using the same email you verified during SSH signup. You’ll receive a magic link; open it and confirm sign-in.

[Open the console](https://treliso.dev/login)

Inspect VM state, start or stop a VM, and manage account access and SSH key enrollment. Managed app controls require guest control to be enabled and the VM to be ready.

## Good to know

- **Your app’s HTTPS address is public.** Add application-level authentication before serving private data or a team tool.
- **SSH access uses your enrolled key.** A direct VM connection still checks account permissions. Stopped or deleted VMs cannot be selected.
- **Your VM name is assigned.** Use your actual name in SSH, SCP, and web addresses. The examples here are illustrative.
- **Agent controls depend on configuration.** Read the [agent guide](https://treliso.com/agents/) before setting up MCP.
